Udupi:Multilingual actor Prakash Rai on Tuesday said that nobody in this country has the right to
ridicule others, but everyone has the right to protest.
While attending a programme in Udupi to to receive Shivarama Karanth Huttura Prashasti conferred by Kotatattu Gram Panchayat, he was offered a grand welcome from progressive front groups near Santhakatte, in Udupi. Speaking on the occasion, Rai said, “Opinions can be condemned, but cruelty is not good. One should not attempt to shut someone else mouth. The person who is honest with nature and does not involve in activities against people will be able to create a better living environment. He praised those who stood by him while some section of people opposed his remakrs made against the killing of Journalist Gouri Lankesh.
