Dharwad: Noted film director T.S. Nagabharana has said with every passing day the kannada filmland is turning into a horror, with only illusionary stories are being made films.
Delivering a talk on ‘Films & Society’ organised as part of M C Shantangoudar endowment lecture programme at Karnatak Vidyavardhakh Sangha in Dharwad, Nagabharana said we Indians have failed to make proper use of digital technology, hence indiscipline has continued to dominate here.
Family movies have vanished and unethical movies are ruling the roost, hence parents have stopped taking children to cinema halls, he said. Supreme Court Judge Mohan Shantangoudar said, cinema has much influence on society as the people are innocent and believe what is shown. Hence, the responsibility of visual media is more, he said.
